Hurricane Harvey Texas Power Outage Tracker Map: Updated Friday

In Hurricane Harvey’s aftermath, utilities are now making considerable progress as they restore power across Texas. As of 7:40 a.m. CDT on Friday, September 1, there are 168,907 electricity outages across Texas — a big figure, but down dramatically from more than 300,000 outages on Monday, August 28, according to the Data Fusion Solutions power outage tracker map.

The Top 5 Texas counties with the most power outages at this time are:

  • Orange: 27,704 — this has actually climbed from 26,516 outages on Aug. 31
  • Harris: 22,229 — down from 44,416 yesterday and 88,237 two days ago
  • Aransas: 19,016 — about the same as yesterday and the day before
  • Nueces: 15,205 — down significantly from 26,787 yesterday and 35,489 two days ago
  • Tyler: 12,367 — a new entry in the top 5 outage areas in Teaxs

Also, there are only 1,442 outages in Louisiana — down sharply from 12,488 outages yesterday.
