SaaS Alerts’ Unify Leverages RMM Agent Data for Cybersecurity Protection
Cloud application cybersecurity company SaaS Alerts is extending its platform to protect another element of the MSP technology stack. The company is launching a new module called Unify, which lets MSPs correlate device data from RMM agents with SaaS account security events.
“We’re launching Unify within the platform to give MSPs higher visibility into every user in their customers’ portfolios,” Jim Lippie, SaaS Alerts CEO told ChannelE2E.
Monitoring RMM to Mitigate Supply Chain Attacks
Lippie said that SaaS Alerts started monitoring RMMs in Q4 of 2021 in order to help mitigate supply chain attacks. Lippie further explained the new platform in this prepared statement:
“Service providers have been leveraging RMM agents for decades and seemingly every time an MSP/MSSP introduces a new solution into an environment, it requires another agent. SaaS Alerts has developed a completely new approach by reading the device information from the millions of existing agents already deployed and correlating that data with the user behavior associated with the world’s most popular SaaS applications. As a result of this enhanced visibility, more attacks can be stopped earlier”
Unify connects SaaS application event data with the devices that end users are leveraging to create a unified security view of the user. For example, users today often provide a password and multi-factor authentication token. But MFA hijacking has changed the game, according to SaaS Alerts. This new solution can also require that the user is accessing the SaaS application from a known device.
What does Unify Cost?
Unify is available at no additional cost to SaaS Alerts MSPs. All active partners will automatically receive Unify by provisioning Ninja RMM, ConnectWise Automate, or Kaseya VSA within SaaS Alerts.
Lippie said that support will come for other platforms, too, based on when those platforms can provide the needed APIs. Based on that, SaaS Alerts will integrate with Datto, N-able, Pulseway, and Syncro.
