Veeam Availability Orchestrator Bolsters Enterprise Disaster Recovery

Data backups are worthless without proper disaster recovery capabilities in place. With that reality in mind, Veeam Availability Orchestrator is designed to streamline and automate the disaster recovery process -- potentially eliminating human error or faulty steps from the process.

That latest Veeam offering arrives as the company strives to bolster its channel ecosystem and strategic alliances for enterprise engagements. According to Veeam, only 14 percent of companies update their disaster recovery plans continuously. That low figure is alarming, considering all the moving pieces in today's hybrid IT and multi-cloud environments.

To address those concerns, Veeam Availability Orchestrator can:

  • Satisfy compliance requirements with template-based documentation, which makes it easy to build and update DR plans as the virtual environment changes, the company says.
  • Provide recoverability at any time through automated scheduled and on-demand plan testing and readiness checks that have zero impact on the production environment, Veeam adds.
  • Ensure IT service continuity through the reliable execution of multi-site DR failover and failback, including service and application verification, Veeam assets.

Veeam Availability Orchestrator is available now with a Veeam Availability Suite or Veeam Backup & Replication Enterprise Plus license. We'll be watching to see if Veeam's massive installed base of CSPs deploys and markets the new offering.

Veeam will rally those partners during the company's VeeamOn 2018 conference in May.
