Ihiji, a provider of remote technology management for integrators, has announced industry-first support for the Savant Pro Host line of smart home control products.
The Ihiji APP-750 Network Appliance and Ihiji Invision software now integrate with Savant controllers, providing dealers with remote monitoring and management capabilities. It's the latest sign that MSPs could develop RMM (remote monitoring and management) opportunities in the smart home sector.
In a statement, Ihiji said the integration also offers dealers of Savant products access to important device information, troubleshooting capabilities and visibility into device health.
"Dealers have been looking for deeper visibility into the Savant system for better monitoring and support for years, and our team has worked diligently to enable this support," Michael Maniscalco, vice president of product for Ihiji, said in the statement.
Ihiji's SaaS
Austin, Texas-based Ihiji sells cloud software that systems integrators and technology professionals can use to offer their clients remote network management and monitoring capabilities.
Ihiji also offers support for home and office control systems Control4 and Crestron, as well as for audio/video products from Sonos and Sony.
The company says its software not only allows for efficient management of the network and devices that make up the Internet of Things (IoT), but also enables resellers to create a recurring revenue stream for their businesses by reducing or eliminating unnecessary site visits.
A Future with Savant
Savant sells home automation systems that allow users to control their entertainment, lighting, climate, security and other smart devices with an app.
Savant Pro Host is the company’s luxury version of the system, designed for users that want a high level of customization. The company also offers Savant Host, an entry-level system, and Savant Smart Host, which works for most homes and covers 12 rooms.
Ihiji said support for Pro Host has been six years in the making, and that it hopes to roll out services for other Savant products in the future.
