Two IT service providers in Ohio are locking arms and becoming one company. Indeed, ES Consulting Inc. (Ontario, Ohio) has acquired Information Technologies and Training (IT&T in Norwalk, Ohio), the companies confirm. Financial terms were not disclosed.

ES Consulting, founded in 2001, offers a range of IT services including help desk, network support, and CIO functions to clients across the United States. The company is primarily focused on the Ohio SMB market through its NetworkGuardian label.

ES Consulting's annual revenues were $2.8 million as of 2016, growing nearly 370 percent over a three-year period, according to the Inc. 5000 list for 2017. The company had somewhere between 10 and 24 employees at the time.

IT&T began life as Advanced Business Technologies in 2000, serving the Northern Ohio region with remote help desk and on-site support services. The company’s CEO, Ben Boss, said the deal will help IT&T better serve its existing clients while extending them more beneficial services.

“It was very important for us to find a culture and company that match what we currently have so that we could focus on what is best for our clients,” said Boss, in a prepared statement. “With their product development, it is like taking a technology business and moving it 10 years into the future.”

ES Consulting will retain IT&T's staff, though headcount details were not disclosed. The company plans to grow its existing client base by developing further into the Norwalk and Northern Ohio regions, ES Consulting President Dennis Fox indicated in a prepared statement. “We feel we can add tremendous value not only to the existing clients of IT&T but all of the businesses in the area with this expansion.”
