IRIDEOS Acquires Enter, Consolidates Italy CSP Market

IRIDEOS, an Italian ICT (information and communications technology) provider, is continuing its push to consolidate the cloud and data center market in Italy with another acquisition.

The latest target, Enter, is the fifth for Milan-based IRIDEOS. Enter’s global connectivity network spans more than 35 Points of Presence (PoPs) around the world, providing a range of network services including Ethernet, VPN, and cloud interconnection. Enter also provides cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) solutions. The offering claims to be Europe's first OpenStack-based service of its kind.

“This is an exciting time for the Italian telecommunications industry as IRIDEOS works to consolidate cloud, network and data center providers throughout the region,” Enter CEO Ivan Botta. “We look forward to joining IRIDEOS as we work together to provide solutions that exceed customer expectations.”

IRIDEOS’ recent acquisitions include Infracom Italia, KPNQwest Italia, MC-link, and BiG TLC. Thanks to these deals, IRIDEOS now leverages 12 data centers across Milan, Rome, Trento, and Verona and a fiber-optic network of more than 15,000 kilometers (9320.5 miles) along major Italian highways.
