10. Executives as a Service: Datto and CA Technologies veteran Dana Prestigiacomo has joined Chief Outsiders -- which offers on-demand executive services to its clientele. Prestigiacomo is part of Chief Outsiders' Northeast team of fractional CMOs. The organization now spans more than 60 part-time, or fractional, chief marketing officers. Each CMO has held the position of VP Marketing or higher at one or more operating companies.

9. Cloud Automation: Logicworks has launched Pulse, an Infrastructure-as-Code Platform for enterprise-class customers. The portal integrates with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, and is available at no charge to all of Logicworks’ customers. Pulse follows the release of Logicworks’ Central Automation Plant, an enterprise deployment engine for configuring cloud computing systems, the company notes.

  • Built.io has launched a partner program for digital creative agencies, web and mobile development companies that leverage the company's content management platform.
  • Unified communications provider Fuze has expanded its channel program and now allows select partners to resell its platform. Chief Sales Officer Christopher Doggett is leading the effort. Doggett is a veteran of Carbonite, Kaspersky Lab and Sophos.
  • Linux distribution provider SUSE has named Infosys as its first global Solution Partner in the top tier of the SUSE Partner Program.

M&A - Workspace as a Service: Premier BPO has acquired dinCloud, a cloud platform for hosted workspaces and cloud infrastructure. Mark Briggs, CEO of Premier BPO, will also take on the role of CEO at dinCloud. Financial terms from the buyout were not undisclosed. Together, the combined companies will focus on "everything as a service." We expect M&A activity in the WaaS market to remain strong this year...
