13. Breaking News: Auvik Networks has raised roughly US$15.5 million in Series C funding for the company's network-centric RMM (remote monitoring and management) platform for MSPs.

12. Partner Program:  Turbonomic has launched a new partner program that features deal protection, margin protection, and incentives for new customers and growth attainment, the company says.

11. Parter Program: Rozo Systems, a provider of software-defined scale-out NAS solutions, has launched a partner program.

10. Distribution: D&H Distributing grew 23 percent in Q4 of its fiscal 2018 vs. the corresponding quarter last year.  Overall growth for the year was  11.3 percent. Among the strong growth areas:

  • Premium notebooks (up 120 percent)
  • network security solutions (81 percent)
  • pro A/V - commercial displays (77 percent)
  • workstations (67 percent); and
  • server products (38 percent).

9. Cloud Backup Services: N2W Software, which Veeam acquired last year, has launched Cloud Protection Manager v2.3. It features automated backup and recovery operations for Amazon DynamoDB database services.

8. Quote to Cash: Apttus’ Quote-to-Cash and Contract Management applications are the first middle office solutions available on IBM Cloud, the company claims.

7. SAP on AWS Migrations: DXC Technology has launched Platform as a Service (PaaS) for SAP solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

6. Verizon Goes AWS: Verizon has selected AWS as its preferred public cloud provider. Verizon is migrating over 1,000 business-critical applications and database backend systems to AWS, several of which also include the migration of production databases to Amazon Aurora, the companies say.

5. Talent: GreatAmerica Financial Services has hired Ian Pugh as director, strategic programs for the company's Unified Communications and IT business unit. Pugh previously spent 15 years in leadership, sales and marketing roles at Gsolutionz, a unified communications and collaboration provider in California.

4. Funding - IT TrainingQuickStart, an Austin, Texas-based IT skills training company, has raised $2M million in Series A funding.
