Vice President of Professional Services responsibilities:
  • Manage the Professional Services organization including headcount requirements, recruitment strategies, and organizational development; hire, retain and motivate the best and brightest employees
  • Develop a PS management framework that provides consistent and effective policies, processes, systems, metrics, reports, dashboards and data analysis
  • Implement and manage according to a cadence of accountability around operational and quality metrics, using these metrics to evaluate the success of the overall business health
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our delivery methodology including guiding development of tools focused on the successful implementation and workflow integration of the entire IT complete stack
  • Ensure consistent forecasting and delivery of PS bookings, revenue and profitability
  • Manage a global team to revenue and margin targets, including direct and subcontracted resources
  • Manage customer escalation, working closely with Development, Product Management, and Customer Success Management in resolving product related implementation issues
  • Demonstrate technical expertise and thought leadership in professional services best practices, particularly around implementations
  • Empower the sales organization to understand the value of services and to set up services as part of the selling motion
  • Continue to develop our strategic Powered Services offerings
  • Use Professional Services as a way to understand health/risk in a customer and to drive success either directly with the Services team or in a collaborative fashion with sales and partners
  • Engage on customer opportunities to sell the services engagement methodology and success criteria to assist in becoming a trusted advisor to the customer
  • Provide visibility to the Product, R&D, Sales, and Customer Success organizations into customer engagements and activity
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years’ management (staff and budget responsibility) experience in services delivery within a global software solutions company; SaaS experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in scaling and profitably growing a professional services business focused on predictable implementation and hitting core metrics
  • Experience in driving organizational change and aligning teams to meet corporate and departmental objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, coach and develop a global, cross-cultural, high performing Professional Services team.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills, and ability to play a trusted advisor to C-level customer executives.
  • Outstanding customer interaction, presentation, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present to different audiences and bring the message across in a concise, professional manner.
  • Experience with analytics, data, databases or business intelligence preferred
  • Track record of successful solution delivery with demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects, juggling competing priorities, and meeting exacting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, challenging, agile environment
  • Excellent problem solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • BA/BS required, MBA a plus
