QuadraNet Acquires CMS Blackmesh From Contegix

Hybrid IT hosting and data center solutions provider QuadraNet has acquired Contegix’s content management system (CMS), Blackmesh.

Terms of the acquisition were not revealed, though QuadraNet also acquired Contegix's private cloud services and commercial CMS hosting customer base as part of the agreement.

QuadraNet, founded in 2001, is based in Los Angeles, California with additional data centers in Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, New Jersey, Seattle, St. Louis, and Reston. The company has 34 employees listed on LinkedIn. QuadraNet’s areas of expertise include Datacenter, Colocation, Dedicated Servers, cloud hosting, cloud based VPS, managed hosting, Veeam pro-partner, Cloud Computing, Hybrid Cloud, IaaS, Bare Metal, Cloud Solutions, Private Cloud, Multi-Cloud Solutions, 24x7 Customer Support, Channel , and Drupal.

Contegix, founded in 2002, is based in Sterling, Virginia. The company has 131 employees listed on LinkedIn. Contegix’s areas of expertise include Jira, Atlassian, ITSM, Agile, SAFe, DevOps, DevSecOps, Public Sector, Atlassian Solutions, Enterprise Service Management, Security, AWS Management, Process Transformation, and Digital Transformation.

BlackMesh was an independent managed services provider from Ashburn, Virginia until Contegix bought the firm in 2017.

QuadraNet’s Strategic Expansion

As part of the deal, private cloud and CMS subject matter experts will join QuadraNet from Contegix, the companies said.

As a result, QuadraNet will expand its data center presence in St. Louis, Missouri, and Reston, Virginia, bringing its footprint to 10 data centers in the United States.

The acquisition is the latest in a series of strategic moves by QuadraNet to expand its range of hosting and managed services.

About Contegix

Contegix remains primarily focused on a combination of Atlassian solutions for the commercial and federal markets, along with supporting FedRAMP Managed Cloud services across multiple applications. The company acquired Equip, an Atlassian professional services firm and Platinum Solution Provider, in 2018.

The company previously sold off its managed IT services business unit to Netrix in July 2021.

Managed and professional IT services provider Netrix LLC, backed by private equity firm OceanSound Partners, has acquired the managed IT services business unit of Contegix. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Financing for the transaction was provided by VSS Capital Partners (VSS). Layer 7 Capital acted as Contegix's exclusive financial advisor for this transaction. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
