Healthcare MSP Acquired: Medicus IT Buys Nexus Practice IT

Medicus IT (MIT), a Top 100 Vertical Market MSP in the healthcare sector, has acquired Nexus Practice IT Services from Columbus, Ohio. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2001, Nexus offers managed IT, VoIP office solutions, and application hosting services to various healthcare organizations in Ohio and the Midwest. The deal enables Medicus to improved service delivery and offerings, the company asserts. It will also expand MIT’s reach, which now consists of five regional offices in the United States.

Chris Jann, CEO of MIT, commented:

Alan Arman, President and CEO of Nexus, called the joining of the companies “a great cultural fit,” adding:

“The combining of our companies and expanded access to resources is instrumental in delivering our shared promise of making IT simple and more effective for our clients.”

The MIT and Nexus teams will remain unchanged, the company said.

MIT already has considerable M&A experience behind it. Most recently, the firm acquired Rutherford, New Jersey’s PriorityOne Group.
