Telerent Acquires Audio-Visual, Digital Signage Integration Specialist
Telerent Leasing Corp. (TLC) has acquired Digital Networks Group (DNG), an audio-visual integration focused on the healthcare, education and government sectors. Telerent’s Avidex division will operate the acquired DNG organization.
Telerent and DNG could create a powerful business combination in the AV market. Telerent already serves 40 percent of U.S. hospitals with television, display and signage system integration service, the company estimates. And Telerent’s Avidex division, acquired in 2012, provides AV integration capabilities.
“This acquisition represents an important step in our efforts to strategically expand our visual communications solutions to become the preferred full service AV integrator to the healthcare, commercial, education, and technology markets,” said Joel Harris, CEO of TLC.
Financial terms were not disclosed. ChannelE2E is checking in with Telerent and DNG for deeper details on headcount and company histories.
Harris became TLC’s CEO in April 2015 after previously launching Avidex. Harris led several of TLC’s acquisition initiatives, built the team that developed the TigrVue interactive system, managed operations in healthcare, corporate and hospitality business lines, and provided front line client engagement with some of the nation’s largest healthcare and IT companies, the company said.
