Ernst & Young (EY) Acquires Government Technology Consulting Firm Cambria Solutions

Ernst & Young (EY) has acquired government technology consultancy Cambria Solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

EY Acquires Cambria Solutions

Ernst & Young, founded in 1989, is headquartered in London, England. The company has 355,764 employees listed on LinkedIn. EY’s areas of expertise include advisory, assurance, tax, transactions, audit, mergers, M&A, financial services, accounting, professional services, law, technology, consulting, data, transformation, strategy, legal, digital transformation, legal, growth and managed services.

Cambria Solutions, founded in 2003, is based in Sacramento, California. The company has 137 employees listed on LinkedIn. Cambria’s areas of expertise include management consulting, information technology consulting and transformational consulting, program and project management services, business process modernization, agile transformation, technology systems implementation, and human-centered design focus with deep sector capabilities in state and local governments. Cambria also brings experience in complex Medicaid and public health/human services programs, as well as transportation and toll systems, the company said.

Cambria’s innovation lab, called Kappy, will be tucked into EY’s wavespace network, the company said. The acquisition of Cambria Solutions will expand EY’s U.S. capabilities to serve state and local governments to improve health and human services, transportation and government modernization services, the companies said.

EY’s Continued Growth

EY plans to continue its growth initiatives both organically and through continued acquisitions, the company has indicated. Key EY acquisitions have also involved application, cybersecurity and managed services expertise, as well as digital and customer experience expertise. The company has completed more than a dozen deals since 2018.
