Accenture has acquired Avieco, a sustainability consultancy in the United Kingdom. Financial terms were not disclosed.

This is technology M&A deal number 347 that ChannelE2E has covered so far in 2022.

Accenture: Where Avieco Fits In $4B M&A Strategy

The Avieco deal is part of a larger M&A strategy. Indeed, Accenture plans to spend roughly $4 billion on acquisitions during the current fiscal year. Roughly $1.8 billion of that $4 billion M&A budget was spent on 21 acquisitions during the first half of Accenture’s fiscal year 2022, CFO KC McClure indicated during an earnings call on March 17, 2022.

The latest deal, buying Avieco, will reinforce the Accenture Sustainability Value Promise, according to the buyer, which seeks to “embed sustainability into everything the company does.” The addition of Avieco will allow Accenture to help companies in a range of sectors to understand, manage and improve their sustainability performance, and create sustainable value for their stakeholders, Accenture said.

Avieco’s team of more than 60 employees, headquartered in London, will join Accenture. Avieco’s expertise in sustainability consulting spans a broad range of industries including retail and consumer goods, financial services, technology and media.
