Describing the latest deal, WiZiX President Gary Johnson commented:

“The purchase of Edwards Office Systems is very exciting! Strategically it strengthens our market presence in the Greater Sacramento Area, without the burden of additional overhead expenses.”

Johnson said Edwards’ technical staff will all join WiZiX's service team.

Founded in 2017, WiZiX is actively pursuing additional acquisition opportunities, it said in a prepared statement.

In addition to its headquarters in Roseville, WiZiX also has offices in Fresno, Pleasanton, and San Jose. The company’s primary product offerings include Toshiba, Savin, and Lanier MFPs and Printers. It also offers a number of office technology solutions including Production Imaging, Document Management and Managed Print Services.

For its part, Edwards Office Systems was founded in 1980 by Jannie and Edward Chow. The company was a full-line Kyocera dealer selling and servicing a full line of copiers, printers, fax, and MFPs.
