Texas MSP Merger: HighPoint Technology Group Acquires TechForceIT

HighPoint Technology Group has acquired TechForceIT, uniting two Texas-area managed services providers (MSPs). HighPoint gains some impressive TechForceIT clients, which include law firms, doctors’ offices and physician practices, small oilfield services companies and a range of retail clients.

Moreover, HighPoint now has the ability to offer managed services to clients ranging from small businesses up to the enterprise, the MSP claims.

Steve Guistwite, HighPoint CEO, said in a prepared statement: “TechForceIT was a natural acquisition target for us as their focus on small businesses helps to fill a gap that we had in our current client portfolio which was more aligned to support Mid-Market and Enterprise customers. TechForceIT’s use of automation and simplified support processes not only allows us to serve a new market segment, but now we can weave some of those practices into our core service processes for our larger clients as well.”

HighPoint has a history of putting the customer’s requests and needs before their own, and they do not try to change the customer to meet their capabilities like some other managed service organizations. Guistwite added, “HighPoint is passionately focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience across its client base.” Reinforcing that point, TechForceIT Founder and CEO Angie Rodriguez joins HighPoint as the head of Customer Experience.

Rodriguez stated that this move will be most beneficial to her clients, as HighPoint has the ability to offer long-term stability and scale as they increase in size and complexity. HighPoint’s Volarè Cloud offering can give TechForceIT clients an affordable set of infrastructure options that previously were not readily available to them through her company.

HighPoint, meanwhile, has a strong reputation of its own. The company was named one of CIO Review magazine’s “100 Most Promising Microsoft Service Providers” in 2015. The company was recognized for being a leader in transforming the way businesses manage their IT platforms and services in an increasingly digitized world.

HighPoint’s expertise involves four pillars —managed services, consulting, cloud services, and outsourcing. The company incorporates customized Microsoft technologies in their public cloud offerings and solution-specific infrastructure consulting engagements.

The HighPoint-TechForce IT combination is the latest in a growing list of recent MSP industry mergers and acquisitions.
