MSP Acquisition: TAS Buys Microsoft Partner Experteq

Sydney, Australia’s TransAction Solutions Limited (TAS) has acquired Microsoft and Citrix partner Experteq for an undisclosed sum.

Also based in Sydney, Experteq provides cloud, virtual desktop, and enterprise mobility services consulting and professional services.

TAS is a managed services provider with 36 years of experience, especially within the financial services and insurance sector. Indeed, TAS serves more than 40 percent of Australia’s tier 2 and 3 banks, mutual banks, credit unions, and building societies, as well as several insurance companies, the company says.

TAS and Experteq have a history stretching back more than a year, with Experteq already delivering consulting engagements to TAS clients. Experteq has also subcontracted the security professionals from TAS to provide compliance services for some of its clients, the companies said.

Experteq Managing Director Frank Mulcahy commented on the acquisition:

Given the complementary nature of the businesses, TAS said there will be no immediate change to the structure of either organization. Instead, TAS will leverage Experteq’s suite of professional services for its clients and Experteq will make use of TAS’ managed services expertise, according to the firm.
