Ntiva Buys DTS, Marking Six MSP Acquisitions In Three Years

McClean, Virginia’s Ntiva Inc, an IT services company offering managed IT, cloud, and cyber security solutions, has acquired Diverse Technology Solutions (DTS) from Islip Terrace, New York.

DTS provides cloud services for hosted data, voice, and business IT solutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. DTS itself was part of a merger in 2016, when the company combined with Voitual in order to bolster its hosted voice expertise.

The acquisition expands Ntiva’s reach to include New York City, Long Island, and Southern Florida. This is the company’s sixth overall buyout since late 2017.

Ntiva was founded in 2004. Ahead of this deal it had roughly 130 employees serving approximately 600 customers. This acquisition will increase Ntiva’s client base to over 700 organizations located across the United States. The company’s key partners include Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, Datto, and Google.

Commenting on the DTS acquisition, Ntiva CEO Steven Freidkin said:

“We are excited to welcome the DTS team to the Ntiva family, adding additional experience and talent as we continue to grow our footprint. As businesses continue to face significant challenges due to rapid technological advancements, the need for managed service platforms with the scale and resources to deliver advanced IT services is becoming more critical. The SMB market is responsible for most of the job and economic growth in the US, but their ability to leverage technology has been limited. There is a huge need, especially when it comes to cyber security solutions, for these companies to have access to the same solutions leveraged by Fortune 500 companies.”

Clayton Hart, founder and CEO of DTS, added:

“Ntiva was our first choice for an MSP committed to delivering high-quality services backed by extensive technical capabilities. Middle market businesses want to deal with IT providers who are at a certain scale and who have the ability to support mission-critical workloads, as well as provide the security that is necessary as cyber threats continue to escalate. This is the right time for us to join forces with Ntiva, providing an avenue for DTS employees to advance in their careers, as well as offer our clients a stronger portfolio of IT services.”

Ntiva’s M&A Track Record

Of course, Ntiva has proven itself a frequent shopper when it comes to MSPs. The company has made a number of M&A deals in the last few years. Deals of note include:
