A formal announcement emerged October 17 during a town hall meeting at the company’s US headquarters in El Segundo, California and simultaneously at its Indian-based operations in Noida, India.

The new entity, with $70 million in combined revenues, dubs itself as a human-centered ERP, professional IT staffing, and managed cloud solutions company. The three entities had all been privately owned and operated by co-founders Amar and Rita Shokeen. The couple, along with their two children, immigrated to the US in 1994 and founded the first company two years later.

Mr. Shokeen is now CEO of Apolis, and Mrs. Shokeen is chief operating officer. Apolis will remain privately owned by the Shokeens. Additional team members include:

  • Lori Tabb, chief marketing officer;
  • Michael Follin, SVP sales;
  • Doug Jett, SVP managed services;
  • Arjun Shokeen, VP of strategy; and
  • Timothy Vo, director global recruitment.

Customers include The Cheesecake Factory, 3M, Nestle USA, Qualcomm, Toyota, and more.

Describing the business evolution, Mr. Shokeen said in a prepared statement:

“We remain a human-centered company, dedicated to nurturing the life-long relationships we have built with client companies and IT professionals worldwide. Even though we have hit a $70 million revenue milestone, our biggest accomplishment still remains the thousands of lives we have positively impacted, and the hundreds of companies we have helped to solve business challenges.”

By merging the business entities, Apolis gains the scale it needs to address emerging opportunities around artificial intelligence, IoT, and blockchain. For example, Apolis will soon unveil an AI recruiting tool which he says “will significantly enhance the way we screen professionals," he he says.

M&A activity in the Oracle, SAP and AWS partner ecosystems has been strong; those links lead to example deals in each sector.
