IoT Managed Services: Kore Acquires Integron
Independent global IoT (Internet of Things) provider Kore has acquired Integron, a healthcare market-focused IoT solutions provider and MSP in Rochester, New York. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
Founded in 1985, Integron also has a presence in the Netherlands. Kore calls the acquisition a “crucial step” in accelerating its scale and credentials. Integron’s portfolio provides Kore an inroad to the health and life sciences markets, allowing the firm to provide more solutions including connected health, telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and technology-enabled clinical trials, the company said.
The deal also gives Kore an important ISO and FDA-certified facility that is able to process large volumes of information for IoT deployments, the companies say.
Headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, Kore has more than 6,000 customers. The newly combined entity will leverage connectivity, managed services, and asset/device management tools to bring ease and speed to IoT solution deployments, the company said.
Kore Acquires Integron: Executive Perspectives
Romil Bahl, president and CEO of KORE, commented on the deal:
“Integron is a respected company in IoT. Their expertise in serving key markets such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences has led to innovative IoT-enabled clinical trials and remote patient monitoring solutions. This acquisition also brings us some key certifications such as those from the ISO and FDA, uniquely positioning us ahead of our competition in regulated industries.”
Bryan Lubel, president of Integron, added:
“Over more than two decades, we have been able to develop a strong competence in delivering IoT managed services in the most complex and compliance-intensive industries. The natural alignment of our businesses was uncanny; both Integron and KORE have become widely recognized in the IoT industry for bringing simplicity to complex IoT projects. The prospect of now adding scale and scope promises to benefit all of our partners and customers.”
Kore Acquires Integron: Next IoT Managed Services Moves
Kore says it will make its “considerable financial and technological resources” available to Integron’s customer base and new prospects. It will also continue investing in research and development while adding its own solution set to Integron’s offerings, the company asserted.
That solution set includes IoT management capabilities like IoT strategy and readiness, connectivity and carrier management, application management and data-as-a-service, network and security management, reporting and analytics, and endpoint lifecycle management.
For the time being, Integron will operate separately but in the near future the organization and its offerings will be fully integrated into Kore, the company said.
