Champion’s Growth Strategy
Champion Solutions Group has healthy history of organic growth coupled with M&A deals. The company was founded in 1979 but now focuses on virtualization, cloud, and data management, along with security solutions. According to Crunchbase, Champion has between 101 and 250 employees across offices in eight states.
In October 2018, Champion acquired ServiceNow partner systemiC for an undisclosed sum. Champion CEO Chris Pyle says his firm is very close to launching a new product from that investment, calling these “very exciting times” for the company.
Meanwhile, this latest deal is part of Champion’s plan to propel its next generation data center and software capabilities, according to the firm. The acquisition will especially bolster Champion’s skills around the Intel and HP Enterprise platform space, the company added.
Pyle commented on the deal:
“Champion is enthusiastic about the partnership with DirecLogix Corp. It’s truly a natural fit for both of our organizations. They have developed a robust set of hardware and software services, and their technical know-how, particularly around HPE, is second to none. What’s truly exciting is the value our combined organizations will bring to the market in the future.”
DirecLogix leader Aleef Adam added:
“With today’s rapidly changing technology landscape, the depth and breadth of our combined organizations will ensure our customers have access to best-in-class solutions along with the technical expertise to achieve their digital transformation objectives. We couldn’t be more optimistic to join forces with such great team of people at Champion, who are extremely talented given their four decades of experience in this industry.”
