Accounting Firm Acquires MSP: BPM Purchases Infinitech

BPM LLP, which is one of the 50 largest public accounting and advisory firms in the United States, has acquired Infinitech Inc., a managed IT services provider (MSP) in San Francisco. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Infinitech, founded in 2002, provides managed and custom IT support services for businesses. The merger will strengthen BPM’s ability to provide a one-stop solution for businesses and emerging start-ups, the company said.

BPM offers a range of technology-related services in such areas as IT security, help desk, and cloud applications such as Oracle NetSuite and Sage Intacct.

BPM Business History

Founded in 1986 by Curtis Burr, Henry Pilger, and Steve Mayer, BPM was first created to serve the Bay Area’s emerging businesses. Since then, the firm has used a number of strategic acquisitions and mergers to grow its talent pool and practice areas.

Along with the business combination with Infinitech, BPM recently expanded its advisory services with the acquisition of Adhere, a Fairfield, California-based technology company.
