OCP U.S. Summit 2018: Open Compute Project Conference

March 20, 2018 - March 21, 2018

The OCP U.S. Summit 2018, essentially the Open Compute Project Conference, dates and location are confirmed for March 20-21 in San Jose, California.

The Open Compute Project (OCP) is a collaborative community focused on redesigning hardware technology to efficiently support the growing demands on compute infrastructure, OCP says.

OCP’s roots date back to 2009, when Facebook realized it needed to design its own software, servers, racks, power supplies, and cooling to scale its data centers. By 2011, Facebook shared its designs with the public and—along with Intel and Rackspace, Goldman Sachs and Andy Bechtolsheim—launched the Open Compute Project and incorporated the Open Compute Project Foundation, OCP says.

Fast forward to present day, and OCP U.S. Summit is a major conference where data center and infrastructure experts can discuss the future of open systems.
