What Does the Acquisition Mean for Avanade?

Avanade launched in 2000 as a joint merger between Accenture and Microsoft. Since that time, Avanade has grown significantly. Consider these fast facts:

  • Since 2000, Avanade has recorded more than $2 billion in sales and posted 20 percent average year-on-year growth.
  • Roughly 34 percent of customers are in the Fortune 500, and 46 percent are in the Global 500.
  • The company boasts 24,000 Microsoft certifications and 23 Microsoft Gold competencies – more than any other Microsoft partner.

Avanade said the Infusion acquisition expands the company’s domain expertise in the financial services and capital markets.

In addition, Somani indicated the acquisition may help Avanade deliver superior digital solutions to customers around the world.

“This is absolutely the right time for us to join Avanade to achieve even greater success. We share a similar culture of innovation as well as the strength, scale and international footprint required to deliver the best digital solutions,” Somani said in a press release.
