LogMeIn Rebrands as GoTo; Simplifies Product Portfolio for MSPs, Channel Partners

Dice form the expression “rebrand”.

LogMeIn has relaunched as GoTo to reflect its "deep dedication to making IT easy, anywhere." Also, the company launched a "simplified product portfolio" with a single application and two flagship products: GoTo Resolve and GoTo Connect. The products are united by a single application, administrative system, and converging user experience, the company indicated.

On the channel front, GoTo launched a new tiered partner program that promotes remote support, endpoint management, and UCaaS and CCaaS products to SMB partners.

The GoTo efforts surface more than a year after private equity firms Francisco Partners and Evergreen Coast Capital completed the LogMeIn acquisition for roughly $4.3 billion. Earlier, LogMeIn and the Citrix GoTo brands merged in 2016.

GoTo and LogMeIn: Previous Partner Program Challenges

Over the past decade (or more), GoTo and LogMeIn have had mixed reputations in the IT channel and with MSPs.

On the GoTo side of the house, Citrix in 2010 acquired Paglo — an emerging RMM (remote monitoring and management) platform for MSPs at the time. Citrix rebranded Paglo as GoToManage in late 2010 but it never really caught on.

Meanwhile, LogMeIn upset some MSPs over the years with various LogMeIn Central price hikes that pressured MSP profit margins.

Fast forward to present day, and GoTo has a new corporate brand and simplified products aimed at MSPs and channel partners. We'll be watching for future company milestones.
