Ingram Micro Achieves AWS Premier Tier Services Partner

Ingram Micro has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Tier Services Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN).

The company made the announcement last week at its Global Cloud and Innovation Summit in Las Vegas.

Ingram Micro said the new status helps position the company as a globally recognized AWS distributor.

To achieve AWS Premier Tier Partner status, AWS Partners are required to undergo a stringent approval process that includes accreditations and certifications. Moreover, they must exhibit a substantial commitment to their relationship with AWS and possess extensive knowledge in deploying customer solutions on AWS. AWS Premier Tier Services Partners must also maintain a highly skilled team of technical consultants who are trai

ned and certified by AWS and have a proven track record of expertise in project management and professional services.

Ingram Micro previously achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Migration Competency, in March 2023, demonstrating its technical knowledge and professional services expertise in moving businesses to AWS.

Ingram Micro’s New AWS Status

Duncan Robinson, vice president, growth partnerships, Ingram Micro, commented:

“Ingram Micro brings tremendous business value, bench strength and market reach to the APN community. Earning the AWS Premier Tier Partner status brings an even greater confidence to those channel partners who engage Ingram Micro for its AWS-specific expertise and proven execution.”

Ingram Micro’s Transition

Previously, Ingram Micro was operating two different systems, technology solutions (hardware and software) orders and cloud orders separately (and, importantly, operating both on a global basis). More recently, the company has transitioned to become a platform.

This change followed an update to its Xvantage platform that simplified customer experience for its partners. Following the update, Xvantage served as a single unified platform for everything – hardware, software, and cloud transactions, as well as a business intelligence/AI dashboard offering business and market insights.
