Cynerio, which develops a Zero Trust cybersecurity platform for medical devices, has launched a global channel partner program for MSPs, VARs and MSSPs that serve hospitals and healthcare systems.

Cynerio VP of Business Development Joel Silberman is driving the partner program.

The partner program surfaces roughly two months after Cynerio raised $30 million in Series B funding in May 2021. The ALIVE Israel HealthTech Fund led the round. Earlier, the company in 2019 raised a $7 million seed round from such investors as Accelmed, RDC and MTIP, a venture capital firm focused on digital health.

Cynerio Partner Program Details

Cynerio’s security software is designed to detect and remediate threats against connected medical devices, OT (operational technology) systems and enterprise IoT (Internet of Things) assets.

Cynerio partners will be able to perform risk assessments for customers. A recurring revenue option will enable partners to add managed services for IoT and medical devices. Cynerio also enables partners to provide forensic services regarding medical devices, mitigation services and incident remediation, the company says.

Cynerio has multiple partnerships in place — such as Carahsoft, Tech Data, regional VADs (value-added distributors) and VARs around the globe. The firm also has technology partnerships with Aruba, Check Point, Cisco Systems, CyberArk, Fortinet and Splunk, among others.

In a prepared statement about the program, Leon Lerman, CEO and co-founder of Cynerio, said:

“Research shows that approximately 68% of medical devices will be connected or able to connect to a health system network by 2025. While connected medical devices are critical to patient care, they are also the most vulnerable to cyber attacks. In collaboration with strategic technology vendors, alliances and solution providers, our channel program enables us to better support healthcare providers as they seek the technology necessary to safeguard their organizations from increasingly sophisticated threats.”

Steve Unger, national healthcare sales manager, Tech Data, added:

“Security, IoT, and analytics are critical elements that must be addressed as hospitals move to a network based connected healthcare enterprise approach. By partnering with Cynerio, our customers and partners now have the solution that provides the insight and automation to know that patient safety, compliance, and operational uptime will not be compromised by cyber attacks.”

Cynerio, which has 49 employees listed on LinkedIn, is based in New York, New York.
