CompTIA ChannelCon 2016: Four Rumors to Track

ChannelE2E will join hundreds of VARs, MSPs and channel parters at this week's ChannelCon 2016 conference in Hollywood, Florida. The conference doesn't officially start for another 12 hours or so. But we've already heard plenty of rumors in the halls. Here are four of them.

4. Monday's Meetings: ChannelE2E is set to meet with at least seven separate hardware, software and cloud companies on Monday. Several of them are launching and/or updating their partner programs. We'll share details as they emerge.

3. Mergers and Acquisitions, Part I: It's safe to expect at least one M&A deal involving an IT vendor during the conference.... Updated 9:35 a.m. T, Aug. 1: The deal details are now confirmed.

2. Mergers and Acquisitions, Part II: It's safe to expect at least one M&A deal involving an IT service provider during the conference... Updated 9:35 a.m ET, Aug. 1: The deal details are now confirmed.

1. Mergers and Acquisitions, Part III: It's safe to expect at least one source from the rumors above (items 3 and 2) to join the ChannelE2E Exit Strategies Panel on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 9:45 a.m. ET. Note: We haven't disclosed his (or her) identity yet just in case the rumors aren't quite true. But, ahem -- we're pretty sure they are. Join us for the panel as MSPs and IT service providers describe how they launched, built and sold their businesses.
