Connect Managed Services, a UK-based managed services provider, is invading the North American market. Among the key moves: The company has opened a New York office and named Gregory Wasilewski as VP, North American Sales.
Connect Managed Services specializes in unified communications, managed and professional services. The company has close working relationships with Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft, Verizon and CSC. As more and more U.S. businesses leverage Connect's UK services, the company ultimately decided to bridge the gap and expand into the U.S. to further assist such customers, according to CEO Alex Tupman.
Leading the effort is Gregory Wasilewski, a 30-year veteran of enterprise IT sales who previously held key posts at GAINS International, IPC, and Speakerbus grow their businesses.
Connect Managed Services also says Brexit has presented the company "with an opportunity to accelerate our investment plans into North America." Still, I'm not quite sure I buy that statement. Wasilewski, for instance, joined the company back in April -- long before Britain voted to exit the European Union.
