Replated Podcast: VIPRE Security’s Marya Munir and
Marya Munir

MSPs and IT resellers should expect big things from antivirus software provider VIPRE over the next few months. In fact, VIPRE has made several moves to expand its channel presence in just the past two weeks.

VIPRE this week named Marya Munir as its senior director of channel marketing. Munir brings 20 years of IT channel experience to VIPRE and most recently served as director of worldwide partner and alliance marketing at endpoint security company Webroot.

In addition, VIPRE last week launched an MSP Partner Program that enables MSPs to sell VIPRE Advanced Security for Business endpoint security solutions. The program ensures VIPRE MSP partners can remotely manage customers' endpoint and email security.

"The VIPRE MSP Partner Program delivers proven technology and comprehensive malware defense at an attractive price point for MSPs," VIPRE Chief Revenue Officer Jason Greenwood said in a prepared statement.

VIPRE's 90-Day Channel Plan

Over the next 90 days, VIPRE intends to establish a strong channel program foundation, drive new partner recruitment and expand its enablement and support tools for both MSPs and resellers, Munir told ChannelE2E.

Also, VIPRE plans to launch a new partner portal in the next two weeks, according to Munir.

"We have  today, but the new portal will have increased functionality that will better support partner enablement and growth," she stated.

VIPRE is putting programs in place to recruit new MSP and reseller partners as well, Munir said. To increase partner recruitment, VIPRE will participate at channel events and boost its delivery of security thought leadership and educational content for channel partners.

VIPRE's Long-Term Channel Plans

VIPRE is focused on building partnerships and expanding communities within the small and medium-sized business (SMB) channel, Munir told ChannelE2E. The company also will continue to evolve its channel program "to support the ever-changing shift in partner business-models and the security landscape," she stated.

Moreover, new tools will be added to the VIPRE Partner Portal to support MSPs, and new security solutions will be incorporated into the VIPRE product portfolio to help the company's partners gain competitive advantages, according to Munir.

"Both will help partners better position themselves to new clients and prove their value to existing clients," Munir indicated.

VIPRE is a product of cybersecurity solutions developer ThreatTrack Security. It currently is used to manage and protect millions of endpoints worldwide.
