GrowthHax Prepares On-Demand Business Coaching
An MSP industry veteran is busy building GrowthHax, an online community designed to “reduce the friction in connecting business owners and entrepreneurs with world-class business coaches.”
So far, the coaching lineup includes:
- Event and business development guru Jamie Cansler;
- TeamLogic IT and CentraStage (now owned by Autotask) veteran Rob Ryan;
- HR expert Heather Rider; and
- plenty more (scroll through the coaches here).
The GrowthHax platform delivers “live, personalized, on-demand business coaching starting from $49.” In some ways, GrowthHax sounds like it’s striving to disrupt the traditional business coaching market much in the way that OnForce and Work Market each redefined the on-demand IT labor market.
Facebook chatter suggests GrowthHax is seeking beta testers during the XChange conference, hosted by The Channel Company this week in Southern California. I don’t know for sure. Ryan and I trade emails and instant messages pretty regularly. However, I haven’t had a chance to discuss the GrowthHax launch with him.
Beyond Traditional Coaching
Admittedly, coaching within the IT services market has a mixed reputation. While some associations, organizations and individuals have strong reputations, others have lesser-known pedigrees. But then again: That’s true of all markets, where leaders, followers and pretenders ultimately sort themselves out.
So how might GrowthHax be different? For starters, it sounds like the platform is pay-as-you-go — sort of like calling a help line (and paying for it) only when you need it. Moreover, the “community” approach could potentially put the best, highest-demand coaches front-and-center. And certainly, this doesn’t look like an “IT only” coaching platform.
Still, I concede that some of my assumptions are purely that — assumptions. I’ve reached out to Ryan for comment to learn more about the past, present and future of GrowthHax. When I hear more, I’ll be sure to update this blog accordingly.
