Borcherding arrives at Cloudreach as the company continues to extend from a cloud solutions provider and consulting firm into an ISV (independent software vendor) with its own intellectual property for multi-cloud management.

Private equity firm Blackstone acquired majority control of Cloudreach in 2017. Multiple milestones have ensued -- including:

1. Acquisitions (2017-2018): Cloudreach acquired Cloudamize and Emerging Technology Advisors (ETA), followed by Relus Cloud.

2. Talent: The company named Microsoft veteran Aaron Painter as CEO in 2018. As of mid-2019, the company had grown to 19 offices and more than 900 employees.

3. Technology: The company in September 2019 launched the next evolution of its cloud management software platform, Cloudamize. The new platform is designed to support cloud journeys -- from initial cloud assessment and migration through ongoing cost optimization and management, across single and multi-cloud environments, Cloudreach asserts.

Now, Borcherding arrives as COO, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Borcherding has extensive experience in and around the cloud and MSP markets. He most recently was CEO of LiveAction, a popular network performance management platform for service providers. Earlier, Borcherding was chief revenue officer at Datto -- the MSP-friendly technology provider.  He also was president and CEO of NaviSite, a midmarket MSP that RDX now owns.

We'll be watching to see how Borcherding influences Cloudreach's continued evolution and expansion.
