The announcement has a touch of competitive irony considering the massive Dell Technologies World 2019 conference starts today in Las Vegas. Low for multiple years essentially was the master of ceremonies for the media at the former Dell World and EMC World conferences.

Low played a key role in shaping Dell's worldwide market messages — especially during the massive Dell-EMC merger of 2016 -- before resigning from the company in December 2018.

Low joins Cisco as the networking giant continues to expand its recurring revenue, software and subscription services -- which also pushing hard into new hardware markets like WiFi 6 and 5G wireless.

In a prepared statement about Low joining Cisco, Robbins said:

"I’m particularly excited for Stella to join our team, not only because of her breadth of expertise in technology communications, but also for her passion for great storytelling, building strong communities and her inclusive, solutions-oriented approach. She knows that the best teams are diverse teams that come together to drive business results and success for our people."

No doubt, Low will play a key role in shaping communications at the Cisco Live and Cisco Partner Summit conferences.
