Netsurion BranchSDO Changes the SD-WAN Conversation for MSPs, SMBs

Numerous technology giants now compete in the fast-growing enterprise SD-WAN market. Instead of dancing with the elephants in that crowded setting, Netsurion is working with MSPs to fill a clear market gap in the SMB sector.

Indeed, the company today launched BranchSDO -- an all-in-one solution that allows MSPs to securely manage branch offices and organizations with roughly 150 seats or fewer (though the solution definitely scales higher, Netsurion says).

BranchSDO features an edge appliance called the Netsurion CXD. Look under the hood, and the edge device delivers next-gen security, cellular failover, managed WiFi and PCI DSS compliance tools and support, Netsurion asserts. The appliance succeeds Netsurion's first-generation SD-Branch solution, Connect SD-WAN.

"We're not your traditional SD-WAN provider," says VP of Product Management John Ayers. "We grew up in the retail and SMB markets. We wanted to build something that's simple to manage from the cloud. And we wanted to make the deployment easy and repeatable. We've sidestepped the complexity of SD-WANs" and delivered and all-in-one solution for SMBs, he adds.

Target Customers

The offering could be ideal for MSPs in such vertical markets as the retail, restaurant and hospitality sectors. VARs may also be interested, since they can delegate BranchSDO's management to Netsurion or the end-customer.

BranchSDO is one of the first products Netsurion has launched since the company simplified its overall corporate brand -- making it easier for MSPs to understand Netsurion's entire product portfolio.
