SKC Communication Products has acquired GBH Communications, a unified communication and collaboration solutions provider, the two companies have confirmed.

SKC is based inKansas City. GBH is located in Los Angeles and serves enterprise customers throughout the country. The combined company has 310 employees nationwide serving enterprise and education clients.

Founded in 1986, GBH specializes in video conferencing, audio conferencing, unified communications, headsets, and collaboration solutions, the company says. Key partners include Plantronics, Jabra, Polycom, Logitech and Sennheiser.

Somewhat similarly, SKC Communications designs, builds and manages technology for business collaboration using video, voice and AV solutions. The company, launched around 1988, also has offices in Charlotte, Dallas, Milwaukee, Omaha, Oklahoma City and Chicago.

The SKC and GBH teams apparently have known each other for two decades, and they're focused on growth opportunities.

In a prepared statement, SKC President and CEO Tray Vedock said: “Both SKC and GBH make it their top priority to exceed customer expectations and deliver best-in-class technology. This acquisition brings opportunities for business growth and enhancement, and we are excited about our new colleagues and clients.

Added GBH Owner Von Bedikian: “I’ve known the SKC team for over 20 years and am excited about the next stage of our journey. GBH has been focused on our client’s needs from day one, and becoming part of SKC will deeply enhance the solutions and service we can offer our clients.”

SKC has M&A experience. The company in 2017 acquired Technology Solutions Group (TSG), a provider of consulting, cloud, and systems integration services in Lombard, Illinois. Amid that deal, 20 TSG employees joined SKC’s Chicago office.
