MSP Industry Leader Launches Grants for College Scholarships

MSP industry leader Adam Slutskin is launching a series of scholarships for MSP ecosystem members and their families.

Slutskin is chief revenue officer at Liongard, formerly CRO at ConnectWise, and an active angel investor across the MSP ecosystem. The planned scholarships are his way of saying, "Thank You to the MSP ecosystem that I love so much," Slutskin announced on LinkedIn.

The first two grants will be made effective January 1, 2022 for the spring 2022 semester. To potentially qualify, applicants should be a:

  • Family member of someone Slutskin worked with during his time at ConnectWise (2009-2017).
  • Student who is attending college focused in business or technology.

Specific financial details are to be announced. Those seeking more information on how to apply can email Slutskin.

Also of note: Slutskin plans to announce similar scholarships/grants to his direct family members, and to family members of military parents with whom he served. Stay tuned.

"This is the beginning of annual scholarship/grants I want to provide," Slutskin wrote on LinkedIn. "I will be funding this program as I continue to learn how to best formalize it. I am a novice so please bear with me. Or contact me to offer advice!"

Adam Slutskin's Business, Technology and Personal Journey

Slutskin is well known for his MSP industry acumen. He was one of the core executives who built and scaled ConnectWise ahead of the MSP technology company's sale to private equity firm Thoma Bravo.

More recently, he has been part of the executive team building and expanding Liongard -- a software company that helps MSPs to build, secure and scale their businesses. He has also been a strategic advisor to AutoElevate (acquired by PasswordBoss) and Cyberfish (acquired by Cofense). He's now a co-owner at PasswordBoss, though Liongard remains is full-time focus.

Dig a little deeper, and you'll find out that Slutskin also was a high school dropout who joined the military and began a journey of finding his path forward.

"I made a ton of mistakes along the way but found a way to get my GED, then attend college, and then pursue my professional career. That ultimately led me to the MSP community I love so much," Slutskin indicated on LinkedIn.

Instead of chasing dollars, Slutskin noted, he knows what it's like to pursue dreams and to "do something you love." Now, he notes, it's time to say Thank You to the MSP community that allowed him to pursue and achieve his own dreams.
