Broadcom Migrates Symantec Security Software to Google Cloud Platform

Broadcom Inc. and Google Cloud today announced a strategic collaboration under which Broadcom will migrate its suite of security and enterprise operations software to Google Cloud platform.

Key Broadcom workloads running on Google Cloud now include Symantec Web Security Service (WSS) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB). Addition Broadcom cyber migrations to Google Cloud are forthcoming. The migrations involve modernization, standardization and optimization steps. Broadcom acquired Symantec's enterprise security software business in 2019.

The Broadcom-Google Cloud partnership counters the firm link between Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Defender.
