A. What’s Happening Today

1. Ninja Data Protection: NinjaRMM has launched a cloud-based backup and disaster recovery (BDR) platform — called Ninja Data Protection. It surfaces directly in the NinjaRMM dashboard, and essentially counters such MSP software platform providers as Barracuda MSP, ConnectWise, Datto, Kaseya and SolarWinds MSP.

2. Private Equity & MSP Software Acquisitions: The next round of M&A discussions is heating up, ChannelE2E has learned.

3. Private Equity – IT Management: TA Associates has invested in Ivanti — which was formed through LANDesk and HEAT Software merger.

4. Data Protection – Free Partner Support: StorageCraft has extended its channel partner program to include 24/7 global support. The 24/7 support is now a standard offering for all StorageCraft MSP subscription licenses, including ShadowProtect and the recently introduced ShadowXafe 4.0 and OneXafe Solo business continuity solutions, the company says.

5. Partnership – Softbank and Ingram Micro: CloudBlue, an Ingram Micro business, will provide the underlying technology to Softbank’s SB C&S cloud solutions and services. As part of the limited partnership agreement, CloudBlue’s suite of offerings will assist SB C&S in the transaction of millions of cloud subscriptions from global vendors, including a portfolio of local Japanese ISVs. Across phases, CloudBlue will power the transaction of millions of cloud service licenses, including Microsoft Office 365 and Dropbox, the companies say. Further, the portfolio is expected to grow to include additional global SaaS and IaaS products, Ingram added.

6. Distribution – Smart Home Networking: DVS has agreed to distribute TP-Link‘s networking solutions to DVS’ network of business and smart home customers.

7. Intel Work From Home: The chip giant has extended its work-from-home strategy through June 2021.

8. Cisco Security – Partner Strategy: The company’s partner pitch increasingly involves the SecureX platform.

9. Partnership – Pure Storage and Cohesity: The duo has partnered to deliver rapid recovery at scale.

10. Talent – Government Technology: NetApp has hired Virtustream and IBM veteran Michelle Rudnicki as VP of U.S. Public Sector.
