Good morning, channel partners. Here are five technology news updates, insights, chatter, and plenty more to start your day for Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

Actually, there are 13 timely updates designed for VARs, managed services providers (MSPs), cloud services providers (CSPs), independent software vendors (ISVs), telco master agents and telco agents to sip on. Take a look:

13. Technology as a Service: The Ingram Micro team offered a range of interviews and updates at the Ingram Micro ONE conference yesterday in Dallas.

12. Application Performance Monitoring Part One: SolarWinds is demonstrating its SaaS-based monitoring and management solutions at AWS re:Invent. Key solutions in the spotlight include AppOptics, an application performance management solution. We've been watching to see which of the offerings may eventually surface in the SolarWinds MSP portfolio...

11. Application Performance Monitoring Part Two: Dynatrace has launched SaaS contracts for its cloud APM solution on AWS Marketplace. Using AWS, Dynatrace’s new procurement model allows service partners and customers to embrace annual contracts and take advantage of automatic configurable renewals, the company asserts.

10. Application Performance Monitoring Part Three: We're meeting with New Relic and Datadog while here at AWS re:Invent. Both companies are fast-growing providers of APM and infrastructure monitoring. Stay tuned for updates.

9. Partner Program - Analytics: Aktana has launched an Analytics Partner Program with initial partners, Prognos and SHYFT Analytics. The program will provide richer, high-quality data sources and advanced analytics to enhance suggestions and insights delivered to pharmaceutical sales and marketing teams.

8. Partner program: Oro Inc. has launched a Hosting Partner Program. The company, founded in 2012 by former Magento executives, has raised $12 million in VC funding. Key customers include Arc International, Samuel Hubbard, Orapi and Animal Supply Co.

7. Veeam Momentum: Veeam Channel Chief Kevin Rooney says the data protection company's enterprise momentum is set to kick into high gear in 2018. Why's that? Growing relationships with Cisco Systems and HP Enterprise (among others). Also, the company has made a key hire to handle distribution relationships (stay tuned for her name). Oh, and potential engagements with global systems integrators are on the horizon. We've got more details and will share them soon... PS: We're also set to meet with Veeam at AWS re:Invent. Extra details soon.

6. Kaspersky Lab Leader: Kaspersky Lab CEO Eugene Kaspersky says he he would "quit Russia" if the country's intelligence agencies ever asked his company to spy for it, Reuters reported. The U.S. Government has purged Kaspersky's software from federal networks amid fears that the anti-virus company somehow has connections to Russia's government. Kaspersky has repeatedly denied the claims.

5. Autodesk Layoffs: Autodesk plans to cut about 13 percent of its workforce -- or about 1,150 jobs -- amid the continued shift from high-end on-premises applications to cloud-based subscription services. Autodesk's shares fell about 12 percent amid the news.

4. Multi-Cloud Management: HP Enterprise has introduced HPE OneSphere, a multi-cloud management solution that provides a unified experience across public clouds, on-premises private clouds and software-defined infrastructure, the company claims. HPE OneSphere is designed for IT operations, developers, and business executives seeking to build clouds, deploy applications, and gain insights faster, HPE says. Major Bummer: They company didn't mention MSPs in that initial target market description. That's a huge missed opportunity.

3. Kaseya Hits the Road: Watch for Kaseya to surface in multiple cities in the days and weeks ahead...

2. AWS Return on Investment: LogicMonitor, which develops a SaaS-based performance monitoring platform, has expanded its LM Cloud solution to deliver clear cost analysis by region, service and now operation. This gives comprehensive visibility to Amazon Web Services (AWS) investment with real-time ROI assessment, the company claims.
