8. Cloud Adoption: Fully 91 percent of companies are using cloud computing in some form, a new CompTIA report reveals. Three-quarters of businesses have between one and five years of experience with cloud solutions. Six in 10 companies have more than 40 percent of their IT architecture in the cloud, the report finds.

7. M&A - Software:  Adobe is acquiring Magento Commerce from private equity firm Permira for $1.68 billion in cash, its biggest deal in nearly a decade, Reuters notes.

6. Partnership - Google Cloud Platform: Confluent's streaming platform based on Apache Kafka is now available on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for event-driven applications, machine learning for advanced analytics, and hybrid cloud data pipelines, among other use cases.

5. Funding: Project management software provider Viewpath has raised $2.3 million in seed funding led by WestRiver Group with participation from existing investors. Also, Natalie Steck has been named CEO. Viewpath integrates with Salesforce and Servicemax for CRM and field service management capabilities.

4. Education - Managed Security: SolarWinds MSP has launched a Security Resource Center, designed to "make it quick and easy for MSPs to get the information they need about current security issues and trends, as well as recommended best practices  to help ensure their business and customers are protected," the company says. VP Timothy Brown will contribute a monthly report specifically designed for MSPs.   

3. Data Management - Office 365: Commvault has deepened its Microsoft Office 365 integrations to further improve data protection, migration, security, eDiscovery and compliance for its customers, the firm says.

2. IT Monitoring - Microsoft Azure: Blue Medora has launched BindPlane for Microsoft’s Azure Log Analytics. It’s the latest addition to the the company's purpose-built monitoring-integration-as-a-service (MIaaS), allowing unified monitoring across the growing number of multi-cloud environments, Blue Medora claims.

1. Managed Services - Microsoft Azure: Atmosera has launched a Three Tier Azure Management Suite to align Atmosera managed service levels with customers' business objectives, expertise, and their existing IT investment. The levels include fully managed solutions, co-managed solutions and self-managed offerings.
