6. Cisco Exits NDS Group: Cisco Systems has sold its service provider video software solutions business (aka NDS) to Permira. The private equity firm will create a new, rebranded company focused on developing and delivering video solutions for the Pay-TV industry. Cisco acquired the business for about $5 billion in 2012. Today's sale apparently was valued at about $1 billion...

5. Talent: Veeam has hired Gartner veteran Dave Russell as VP of enterprise strategy. Earlier buzz suggested Russell was going to Rubrik, but he apparently had a change of heart...

4. Four Stages of the Cloud Journey: Ingram Micro's cloud partners are navigating a four-stage journey, according to Senior VP Renee Bergeron.
