Microsoft Azure Data Protection: The new Rubrik Accelerator for Microsoft Azure offers enterprise customers a single solution to protect and manage data from on-premises to Microsoft Azure, the company claims. Automated data protection extends acrpss Microsoft Hyper-V, physical Windows and instant database recoveries with SQL Live Mount.
12. GDPR Compliance: Ingram Micro has embraced OneTrust for its privacy program and compliance initiatives, the distributor has confirmed.
11. Chromebook: Sprint is working with Google and CTL to an all-new CTL Chromebook. The CTL Chromebook NL7 LTE with Sprint seamlessly integrates with Google's G Suite for Education as well as G-Suite Basic, Business and Enterprise editions, and allows users to connect virtually anywhere without the need for a WiFi connection or mobile hotspot, the companies claim.

IBM Cloud Migration Services: IBM Cloud Migration Factory now features automation tools accelerate infrastructure, data, application and workload shifts to multiple cloud providers, the company says. Most of the marketing pitch involves IBM Cloud, but dig a little deeper and you'll notice the company has also assisted customer migrations to Microsoft Azure.
9. IBM ServiceNow Partnership: IBM has vowed to extend its Multicloud Management Platform with ServiceNow's IT Service Management and IT Operations Management solutions. Among the key business opportunities: IBM intends to help customers deploy and manage Kubernetes applications across different cloud environments.
8. Talent - ESOP Business: Equus Compute Solutions, a supplier of purpose-built computer servers and storage solutions, has hired Dave Guzzi as CEO. Guzzi has served on major partner program advisory boards organized by Intel and Microsoft.
7. Talent, Business Expansion: 1901 Group, an IT services provider in Virginia, will invest $4 million to expand its corporate offices in Fairfax County and an enterprise IT operations center headquartered in Montgomery County, Virginia. The expansion will result in 225 new jobs in the Fairfax County community of Reston and 580 new jobs in Montgomery County by 2021, 1901 Group says.
6. MSP Data Protection Project: Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS), one of the largest trade unions in the United Kingdom, has deployed data protection technologies supplied by Asigra, Data2Vault and MillerTech.
5. PSA and RRM Software: Naverisk recently delivered its 2018 Release 3 of the company's RMM and PSA software. It features a new user interface that improves IT service workflows and automation capabilities, the company claims. It also offers a “drag and drop” business intelligence and reporting engine. Other key enhancements include new Zendesk integration; Xero and QuickBooks’s integration improvements; ECi e-automate 2-way integration upgrade; and 60-plus performance and stability improvements, the company says.
4. M&A - Digital Consulting: Management consultancy firm EY has acquired Adelphi Digital Consulting Group, gaining 170 digital experts across Australia and Singapore. Adelphi Digital CEO Margaret Manning joins EY as a partner in the advisory practice of EY and will be based in Singapore, according to a CMO report.
