14. Strategic Alliances: Datavail, which provides remote database administration (DBA) services in North America, named Maria Anderson as its new director of strategic partnerships. Anderson is also the President of the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG).

12. Risky Business: Infosys, one of India's top IT outsourcing companies, had 19 percent annual employee turnover for the year ended March 2015. Big bonuses apparently helped to reduce that turnover more recently... but now the bonus programs apparently have been reduced. Hmmm... Sort of makes you think turnover rates are set to rise again.

7. Michael Dell Road Trip: Michael Dell recently visited EMC offices in Ireland, continuing a worldwide tour to explain the Dell-EMC merger strategy. Dell is expected to finalize the $67 billion buyout of EMC in July 2016 or so.

6. HIPAA Compliance and Texting: Awrel claims it has developed the "first-ever HIPAA-compliant texting application" for secure dental communication and collaboration. I'm always a bit skeptical when I read "first ever" claims...

5. Office 365 Deployments: Roughly 30 U.S. state governments now leverage Office 365. But deployment progress certainly varies from state to state, according to this Office 365 in government reality check from StateScoop.com.

4. Sales Acceleration: InsideSales.com has launched its Solution Integration Insiders Partner Program. The program seeks to "deepen connections with partners and allow them to easily build their sales acceleration services and consulting businesses."

3. HP Enterprise Earnings: Hewlett Packard Enterprise is set to announce Q2 2016 results on Tuesday, May 24. CEO Meg Whitman and her executive team will try to build momentum ahead of the massive HP Enterprise Discover 2016 conference set for June in Las Vegas.

2. Enterprise Server Shipments: Morgan Stanley says enterprise server shipments are set to slow down amid growing virtualization and cloud adoption. Lenovo and HPE, among others, are at risk, the investment firm asserts. Lenovo earlier this month insisted that its hyberconverged data center strategy is set to accelerate, and HPE will provide its own update during May 24 earnings and the Discover conference in June...
