  1. MSP Big Apple Acquisition: Engineering-driven MSP Fairdinkum Consulting has acquired cybersecurity and cloud specialist MSP Warren Systems Group, both based in New York City. Fairdinkum was advised by buy-side intermediary for IT services M&A, Cogent Growth Partners, on the deal.
  2. Cloud and Security Acquisition: Cloud risk and threat detection provider Rapid7 has acquired Minerva Labs to extend Rapid7’s managed detection and response service (MDR) with ransomware prevention technology. The company said the deal will help it extend its MDR across cloud resources, traditional infrastructure, and existing endpoint protection infrastructure, enabling customers to further consolidate their security investments.
  3. Dell's Security Plays: Dell Technologies is rolling out  new services and solutions in its security portfolio including Managed Detection and Response Pro Plus, which the company says blocks routes to cyberattacks and accelerates recovery. In addition, Dell announced that it will serve as CrowdStrike’s only PC OEM partner.
  4. MDR + XDR: Top 250 MSSP Trustwave has integrated its managed detection and response (MDR) solution into the Trellix extended detection and response (XDR) platform. Using the two platforms together can help organizations hunt for threats in real time and identify and respond before those threats lead to data breaches.
  5. New CTO: XFactor.io, an intelligent go-to-market platform, has appointed Jimmie Lee as chief technology officer. Lee has experiences across multiple industries in engineering, security, and technology operations, including leadership roles at Boeing, Microsoft, and Meta.
