12. Oracle NetSuite Partner Program: After acquiring NetSuite in 2016, Oracle is working overtime to ensure NetSuite's partner program remains strong. A case in point: NetSuite says recent solution provider program additions include WithumSmith+Brown, Kranz & Associates, AdaptaLogix and Phoenix Systems Group. I believe Craig West continues to lead NetSuite's partner program.
11. Optical Network Partners: PacketLight Networks, a provider of optical fiber networking solutions, has launched a Channel Partner Program (CPP) for enterprise VARs and resellers.
10. IBM & Red Hat OpenStack: IBM and Red Hat Inc. are partnering to help businesses embrace Red Hat OpenStack platform within IBM Private Cloud. The move comes as Red Hat attempts to set an OpenStack de facto standard, much in the way that the company set an enterprise Linux de facto standard a decade ago...
9. Ingram & NetEnrich: Ingram Micro and NetEnrich have extended their partnership from North America to Australia and New Zealand. Ingram resellers can leverage NetEnrich's various NOC (network operations center) and cloud services, including Microsoft Azure support services.

Global Video Surveillance Market: The global video surveillance as a service (VSaaS) market will reach $88.25 billion by 2024, which represents a 17 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2016, Transparency Market Research estimates. Key players to watch include Eyecast Inc., Genetec Inc., Brivo Systems LLC and Neo Solutions Inc. The report also identifies Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Axis Communications AB, Bosch Security Systems Inc., Cisco Systems Inc., and Canon, Inc. as prominent companies.
7. Managed Services for Cisco Meraki: Dimension Data has launched a managed service for Cisco Meraki’s networking and security devices, which covers all wireless, switching, routing, and security technologies. Available before April 1, customers leveraging Cisco Meraki devices in their networks will now have access to Dimension Data’s Uptime Support Service across Europe. We're checking to see if Dimension Data offers a similar managed service in North America.
6. eDiscovery for Office 365: ProSearch Strategies has launched an Advanced eDiscovery practice to coincide with ProSearch joining the Microsoft eDiscovery alliance. ProSearch sees the Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem as a strategic area of practice for corporations adjusting to meet their discovery obligations in Office 365. We'll share more details soon.

4. M&A - IoT: Arkados Group Inc., a software developer and IoT system integrator, has signed a letter of intent to acquire SolBright Renewable Energy for $15 million. SolBright provides turnkey development, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the commercial/industrial and military solar photovoltaic markets. SolBright has a backlog of approximately $40 million in distributed generation EPC projects and a growing pipeline of projects throughout the Eastern United States, the companies said. 3. M&A - IT Services: Optiv Security has acquired Comm Solutions, a regional provider of enterprise-level security and networking technology, services and solutions. The deal deepens Optiv's footprint across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and New York. Comm Solutions will continue to operate as a standalone company until integration is complete in the second half of 2017. Financial terms were not disclosed. Private equity firm KKR acquired Optiv for $1.9 billion in December 2016.
2. M&A - IT Services: Santa Monica Networks (SMN), an IT service provider in the Baltic region and Finland, has been broken into two businesses amid two separate buyout deals. In the first deal, Livonia Partners acquired SMN's Latvian and Lithuanian operations. In a parallel transaction, Finland-based corporate Elisa Corporation will acquire the Finnish and Estonian divisions of SMN, Unquote reported.
